Harem and Djinn with Kristy Jessica

 

Until today, it had been about nineteen months since I had last shot with Kristy. Our last shoot, in January 2024, featured a science fiction theme, but today's concept kept more to the fantasy world, specifically that of harems and genies. For this shoot, I chose a black velvet backdrop and shot in Floofie's garage studio, a convenient and affordable space that can be set up for various concepts.

I thought the black backdrop appropriate for the vivid colors of the outfits we would be shooting. It would also allow me to extract the model later to use in composites. As expected, the colors popped against the backdrop and made Kristy's skin tones stand out as well. 

We started our shoot with a couple of different harem outfits and then moved on to the djinn concepts. Fortunately for Kristy, I used a fan to provide a constant airflow to cause the fabrics she wore to flow, but it also had the advantage of keeping her cool in the sweltering heat of the ninety-three-degree day. By the time the shoot was done, I was soaked and ready for a cool drink.

Kristy is always a delight to shoot. Her poses are graceful, and her petite, toned body lends itself well to many different concepts. In addition to the science fiction concept from last year, we've shot glamour on the beach, boudoir, a Sword & Chains fantasy, and finally, this harem/genie shoot.

There were no glitches to speak of for this shoot other than a misplaced strobe trigger adapter. The shoot went as smoothly as could be expected given the heat. Kristy helped pull it all together with her humor, poise, and attitude. If you get a chance to work with her, you won't regret it.
